Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium is situated in Wembley, London and is owned by the FA. The stadiums primary use is for the England national teams home games and main English domestic cup finals. The stadium is sometimes also used for pop concerts and other sporting events e.g. American superbowl.

Wembley stadium has a 90'000 capacity; giving it the second largest capacity in Europe. Wembley is sometimes refferred to as 'New Wembley Stadium' to distinguish it from the the 'Old Wembley Stadium'. Wembley is also the most expensive stadium ever built, costing around £798 million.

One reason the stadium cost so much to build was because of its luxury facilitys, wonderful design and its trademark state of the art arch, which stretches 1040 feet across and 440 feet above the pitch.
